Pack Of Six Biographies

Ben

Dave Jones

Production

Sam has recently hooked up with production and DJ legend Dave to increase the phatness of his beats and to develop a more club friendly sound. They hit it off immediately, with Sam's jazz funk and Dave's dark club beats fusing to create a new love child in the form of funky house, r+b and break beat stylings. Dave has been knocking out beats and remixes for years. In addition to his own projects, he has worked with and remixed for the likes of Amy Winehouse, Amp Fiddler, The Elektrons, Jenna G, Miss Dynamite, Whitney Houston, Missy Elliot, Just Jack and the Streets.

Ben

Ben Thomas

Production / Pimp Layers

Ben and Sam grew up together out in the sticks where there was little else to do other than drink, drugs and jam 80s tunes from the likes of Level 42 and Toto. This is their first collaboration for years, and they re-clicked immediately in the studio as the new Pack Of Six production team. Ben helps the singers relax by cracking un-PC gags and claiming that he is "so horny right now" in a dodgy American accent. His recent production credits cover an enourmous range of work, including Newton Faulkner's platinum selling debut album and Peter Conway's new release. He can play every instrument you could think of and uses Logic like a 5th limb.

David

David Saw

Acoustic Guitar on
"Stranded","Share This Night"

Dave and Sam are another Aylesbury connection, and started playing together in their early teens, along with Ben. Dave plays beautiful picked guitar and writes such stunning songs that he has recently worked with Carly Simon and Ben Taylor, in the studio and on tour. This has been a great rekindling of this friendship after so many years, and the deep understanding and mutual respect they hold for one another guaruntees future work together. That, and beer.

Peter

Peter Saw

Percussion on
"Stranded","Share This Night"

Another old friend and brother of David, the connections are obviously similar here. Pete's recent tour with Ben Taylor saw him transferring his sick kit skills onto the cajon, and can mix up folk, funk and hip hop seemlessly. Pete's great use of taste inspired the recent acoustic sessions, and there should be a live love-in in the near future. All this for slapping a box.
